Battlestar Galactica Fanfiction

WARNING

I write slash. Specifically, this involves fan fiction exploring sexual relationships between two characters of the same gender, most often male. If you are offended by the notion of two people of the same gender showing their love for each other, there may be something for you here: the Fan Fiction Directory. Likewise, if you are offended by explicit descriptions of sex between consenting adults, please go elsewhere. All graphic pieces are marked with a warning.

This is a somewhat chronological listing of my BSG fanfiction. All of this is slash. All of this is based on the original BSG series. If you don't like Starbuck as a man getting it on with Apollo, please don't read any of these stories.

Truth Hurts

plain text * color

I have no idea when this was truly written, because I just dug it out of my WIP file. But I gave it a final edit and decided it didn't need any more story around it today, so it's going under 2006. This is a scene that we all know is missing from Lost Planet of the Gods.

Something To Believe In

plain text * color

This is another AU tale which has been almost five years in the process of writing. See, I started it right before the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers, with the intention of showing a more realistic and human side of what would happen in the aftermath of a devastating attack like that on the Colonial homeworlds. But then a smaller attack happened in real life and suddenly I couldn't work on the story any more...

Anyway, now it's here, and ready to be read.

A Different View

plain text * color

Sheba gets a wake-up call.

Flashpoint

plain text * color

A difficult situation all around...

From Ashes, Glory

plain text * color

Warning: if you're one of the people that believes Apollo only has eyes for Starbuck, don't read this.

After the destruction of the Twelve Colonies, a rag-tag fugitive fleet sets sail across the stars. Apollo finds himself in the unwelcome position of trying to make sense out of the chaos. And as if these new responsibilities aren't enough, there's the little matter of what happened that night with Starbuck, and a suicidal young man who turns to Apollo for help...

Hellnight

plain text * color

It's Hellnight, and Starbuck's sins have come home to roost.

2003

Confrontation

plain text * color

Apollo finally cracks under pressure.

Horns

plain * color

A really silly and impossible story, which involves an old saying people used to use a really long time ago. Used to be when a woman committed adultery, folks would say that she put horns on her husband's head.

And fair warning: Sheba's in this one.

Eavesdropping

plain text * color

Apollo gets caught in a rather awkward situation.

*also written this year: Bird's Eye View, Abdication, Breakthroughs.

Best-Laid Plans

plain text * color

It all started when Karen said Karo'd dared her to write Apollo/Bojay... next thing I know, this improbable but amusing little story was inhabiting my hard drive.

*also archived at the Wonderful World of Make Believe.

Cause For Celebration

plain text * color

Thanks again, Karen, for the word "farton"! Sure does add a nice touch to this story.

Happy New Yahren!

plain text * color

It's a New Yahren's to remember on the Galactica.

2001

...and forever after

plain text * color

Warning: involves major character death

Starbuck tries to cope with Apollo's death in battle, and receives quite a surprise.

*also archived at SlashFanfiction.com.

Anniversary

plain text * color

Utterly sweet and sappy fic warning. : )

Book of Dreams

plain text * color

This one's not really focused on Starbuck and Apollo. It's actually an outsider's look at Apollo, and the relationship between the two, and a commentary on Starbuck's actions. There's also a number of discrepancies from the canonical timeline, so if you catch 'em—well, they are meant to be there.

Bubble

plain text * color

A little PWP involving an old friend of mine from another universe, the Wish Fulfillment Fairy. *g*

Company

plain text * color

*co-written with Karen

Warning: this one's f/f, and fairly graphic. I'm calling it NC-17 to be safe.

What happens in the aftermath of losing Starbuck? For Cassie and Athena, loss of Starbuck means a chance to find each other.

Danse Infernale

plain text * color

Written specially for Halloween 2001. : )

Warning: major character death

Apollo has to come to grips with his feelings, in an AU with a twist. Occasionally referred to as "Apollo Goes to Hell." ; )

Daring

plain text * color

This one's a bit toasty, but I don't think it crosses the boundaries of R-land... so mild smut alert. *g*

Apollo decides to take a friend up on an invitation and gets a lovely surprise.

Diversion

plain text * color

NC-17! Yeah, I really mean that!

Plot? What plot? You mean there's supposed to be a plot to these things?

Doorway Into Forever

plain text * color

Warning: death story (kind of)

It was a normal patrol. That was all that could be said of it, until Starbuck went missing...

Fusion Point

plain text * color

Rating: NC-17

Warning: death story

An emergency situation on the Galactica sends Apollo and Starbuck to the surface of a nearby planet with a team of specialists. The only problem is that the planet is guarded by Cylons. Will they survive? And worse yet, will they survive the unexpected turn in their friendship?

Images

NC-17

Not much to say about this... it's a PWP.

Independence Day

plain text * color

A conversation that never happened, but would have altered the outcome of a familiar scene considerably.

Love Revisited

plain text * color

Starbuck decides it's time to make Apollo feel better, and to hell with what people think.

Meltdown

plain text * color

This is the result of a chance-made comment and a dare. Just be aware, the title is really a warning... NC-17

Midnight

plain text * color

Just a tiny little ficlet.

MindTrap

plain text * color

A bit of angst, a bit of adventure, a bit of nightmare... anyone up for it?

Starbuck gets a rude awakening from his subconscious, which is tired of waiting for him to figure out what he wants from Apollo. But he doesn't deal with it too well, and then the pesky realities of his job as a warrior get in the way.

Rude Awakening

plain text * color

Apollo gets a bit of a shock, when his head is forcibly removed from his ass.

So Sorry

plain text * color

Yep, it's another steamy PWP. NC-17. I mean that.

Sun and Shadow

plain text * color

Just a little scene, inspired by too much discussion of black leather. Thanks to Val for starting me thinking about leather, and Karen for the last line.

Voyages of Discovery

plain text * color

Apollo does a bit of research in the fleet BBS and finds some surprising info... NC-17

And by the way... the "surprising info" came from something a friend sent me, an excerpt from a longer piece about... *ahem* let's say the joys of sex. If I knew the author, I'd attribute it properly, but I don't so I'm sorry.

Where Darkness Waits

plain text * color

Yes, I admit it—it's another bizarre tale, with strong supernatural influences. And what's worse,I left a whole crapload of loose ends. On purpose. No sequels.

2000

A Divine Comedy

plain text * color

A bit of goofiness, told from Cupid's viewpoint.

Against the Odds

plain text * color

All was quiet on the home front. Captain Apollo was nearing the end of his term of service in the fleet, and was content to stay home on Caprica and fly a desk, just another one of the countless sea of administrators of the fleet. But his father, Commander Adama, had other ideas, and secured him a commission on the Battlestar Galactica, flagship of the Colonial Fleet. Join Apollo on the Battlestar as it embarks on a journey to save humanity itself from the destructive forces of the Cylons, who are bent on exterminating all of humanity. Along the way, Apollo encounters Starbuck, who poses an entirely new problem to the quiet Captain. Now he must face things about himself which he has long denied, which he would rather not acknowledge...

Challenge Stories

plain text * color

It all started with an innocent little challenge: write a story, using these ten words from a fourth grade spelling list...

Death Be Not Proud

plain text * color

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.

~John Donne

It is several years after the fleet has found Earth and settled down. The Cylons have not been seen in nearly a decade. The population has grown complacent. And then...

Devastation. Destruction. The loss of nearly all humanity at the hands of the Cylons, in the Second Destruction.

How will Apollo and Starbuck cope with the sorry remnants of their world? How will they cope with each other, when a thoughtless moment reveals the love which Apollo has kept hidden all these yahrens, a love for his best friend which Starbuck is not prepared to cope with or accept?

Warning: NC-17 This story contains scenes of graphic sex.

Interlude

plain text * color

This is set in the same world as Death Be Not Proud, but it occurs ten years earlier. The Fleet has been on Earth for a sectar—excuse me, must remember to say month now, in proper Earth fashion—and is trying to settle in. Apollo has been appointed Ambassador, and is fighting for the right to set up a proper academy and keep the Battlestar's youth in training. He gains an unexpected supporter, an intriguing council member named Zymand...

Dessert

plain text * color

Apollo, Starbuck, and Boxey go out for ice cream... and Apollo has difficulty controlling himself. Inspired by a discussion on bsgslash, a list devoted entirely to BSG slash. (Obviously.) And the Lion's Roar is based on fact—anyone ever gets the chance, I highly recommend the Lyon's Soda Fountain in Lyons, CO. But take a friend if you dare to eat the Roar, and make sure all the flavors go together well!

Light Fluff

plain text * color

The boys are sent on a mission to gather an undisclosed something from a new world and become closely acquainted with some of the indigenous life forms.

Pain

plain text * color

Warning: death story

What happens to a relationship when there is no trust? It is doomed from the start. Sometimes love just isn't enough.

Phantasm

plain text * color

This one's more than a bit odd. It came about because I was wondering what would happen if the utterly scientific world of Battlestar Galactica was disrupted by a supernatural menace. And so was born the Phantasm...

Reckless

plain text * color

Sorry folks, not very smutty—just Apollo on an unexpectedly dangerous mission, and Starbuck's thoughts on being left behind.

Student's Folly

plain text * color

A bit of a stroll down memory lane.

Whispers In the Dark

plain text * color

Warning: death story—kind of

NC-17

A freak energy burst in a planet's upper atmosphere sends the boys crashing to the surface.

Short Stories With Sequels

Paradise

plain text * color (2000)

They called it Paradise, a lovely deserted world with riches beyond compare... and an offer of peace, tranquility, and the chance to fulfill the heart's desire.

Sheba and the Fire-ants

plain text * color (2000)

A silly little scene inspired by—okay, demanded by—the bsgslash list. Too bad I couldn't work the rope in, too, but Sheba, honey, and fire-ants make an amusing combination anyway.

More Than Words

plain text * color (2001)

Apollo and Starbuck were on a rescue mission, trying to save some miners from a cave-in. But they found themselves in need of rescue instead.

To Make It Real

plain text * color (2001)

Starbuck wakes up in the Life Center, to find that he's still alive and now has to deal with the consequences of his confession to Apollo.

Alternative Lifestyles

This is a complete and total AU, started by the story After the Destruction. I mean, what the hell, if the Sci-Fi Channel can pay someone to thouroughly "re-imagine" the series (grrrrrrowl), then I can do the same for free, right? Right. So here it is.

After the Destruction

plain text * color (2002)

It's a few days after the Cylon attack on the human colonies. What remains of humanity is heading out into space in a disorganized mass of refugee ships. But they're not going to find Earth.

Abdication

plain text * color (2003)

Apollo's reflections on the loss of his family.

Bird's Eye View

plain text * color (2003)

What happened on the battlestar Galactica during that monumental final battle.

Breakthroughs

a Fairhaven story

plain text * color (2003)

Starbuck has been on the battle platform Fairhaven for several sectons now and has begun settling in. That is, until he received disturbing news...

Tales From The Academy

This is a series based on the adventures of the younger Starbuck and Apollo. Unless otherwise noted, these were all written in 2001.

First Impressions

plain text * color

Apollo and Starbuck's first meeting.

Apollo Gets A Clue

plain text * color

Apollo goes back out into the city in search of his new friend, and learns that life isn't always easy.

Homecoming

plain text * color

Apollo's plan has begun. He takes Starbuck home with him for winter break.

Yes, Dear

plain text * color

Adama arrives home for a few days, to discover a new arrival in his home.

The Test

plain text * color

Apollo's plan unfolds.

Setback

plain text * color

The title says it all.

Complications

plain text * color

Starbuck runs into a little trouble when he returns to the streets after his little vacation with Apollo.

Consequences

plain text * color

The follow-up to Starbuck's arrival in the infirmary.

Joyride

plain text * color

It was a training excersize all potential Viper pilots had to go through—a flight in an atmospheric craft. Traditionally, this excercize was intended to give would-be pilots a taste of what it's really like to fly in a Viper, above and beyond simulator flights, guaranteed to weed out the faint of heart...

Jewel Against Velvet

plain text * color

A tiny little scene, in which the boys take their first trip into space.

Kaleidoscope

plain text * color (2002)

It's spring, and Apollo's beginning to grow up. Need I say more?

Surprise

plain text * color

Now it's Starbuck's turn to get a clue, when Apollo drops a bombshell on him.

Last Dance

plain text * color

Graduation night. A wonderful achievement, the fulfillment of goals—but it lacks one small thing to make it perfect.

Songfics

Abracadabra

plain text * color (2000)

Rating: NC-17. A hot little scene, from Starbuck's point of view.

Castle Walls

plain text * color (2000)

Since this is a fantasy-type song, I transplanted the boys from Battlestar to Anarill—my fantasy world.

Don't Cry

plain text * color (2000)

I almost titled this one "Serina Gets Dumped." General consensus on the list is that this is the way it really should have happened.

Everybody Needs Somebody

plain text * color (2001)

Warning: I killed Sheba again.

Yet another songfic, inspired by November Rain, by Guns'n'Roses, and nagged into completion by Val.

Out of Love

plain text * color (2001)

So I was listening to Air Supply, and next thing I know I'm typing away...

Shadowplay

plain text * color (2001)

Based on the wonderful and very romantic song "Slow Hand" by Conway Twitty.

Turn Around

plain text * color (2002)

This came from the song "Total Eclipse of the Heart," one of my long-time favorites.

Tonight

plain text * color (2000)

*inspired by the Sith Academy.

Uh-oh, look out folks—it's a Sith Academy/Battlestar crossover. Not as funny as a true Sith Academy story, but then, it's not supposed to be.

Nothing Else Matters

plain text * color (2000)

*inspired by the Sith Academy.

A sequel to Tonight. Likewise, not funny, and not supposed to be. Beware of the mushy stuff though, might make you go "Awwwwww....."
